Colorful Revolution Lyrics

1, 2, 3, 4Well a sad little boy sat on a soapbox in Market Square
He'd given words for free to all the people there
And though this song is the same, doesn't matter who plays, it's alright
The paper said we'll win this war overnightWe were singing
Step right up
For a colorful revolutionNow a bridge is the word for the war getting underway
But you can't if you won't, and you could, but you don't want to stay
And the American mind in its prime has got nothing to say
But it's your American right to throw your vote awayAnd we be singin'
Step right up
For a colorful revolution
Step right up
It's the sound of the institutionOh, no no words you know, you know nothing today
But when it comes to get you, then what will you say?
I wish the night was young
Yeah, honky tonkYou got it boyAnd now the national defense is up in arms and out of control
But since the market is good, the people said let it roll
And though this song is the same, doesn't matter who plays, it's alright

We can win this little war overnightWe be singing
Step right up
Start a colorful revolution
Everybody's got to
Step right up
It's the sound of the institutionStep right up
For a colorful revolution

The Redwalls are a rock band from Deerfield, Illinois. Highly influenced by The Beatles and Bob Dylan, their first two albums, Universal Blues and De Nova, reflect a hard-edged, youthful throwback to 1960s rock and roll.
Comprised of the brothers Logan and Justin Baren and longtime friend Andrew Langer, they grew up in the same Deerfield neighborhood. The Redwalls brought on drummer Ben Greeno after their initial drummer, Jordan Kozer, decided to attend college at DePaul. They signed with Capitol Records in 2003 and released De Nova in June 2005.
