Come To Me Lyrics

Don't I sit on the front porch waitin' on you to come?
And when you finally get there, don't my heart start runnin' along
It's a beautiful thing when you come to me
A beautiful thing when you come to meDon't I sit on the front porch waitin' on you to show?
If you said the words, don't you know I would get up and go
It's a beautiful thing when you come to me
A beautiful thing when you come to meIt's the thrill of your sound, it puts me on the ground
Well, I'm gone but I'll be home soon
It's a beautiful thing when you come to me
A beautiful thing when you come to me, heyDon't I sit up at night just waitin' on a song to sing?
When you finally call me, I wanna give you all of my everythin'
It's a beautiful thing when you speak to me
A beautiful thing when you speak to meIt's the thrill of your sound, it puts me on the ground
Well, I'm gone but I'll be home soon
And it's a beautiful thing when you come to meDon't I think about you daytime when the stars are gone?
I think about you evenin's when I'm singin' my songs
It's a beautiful thing when you come to meDon't I sit on the front porch waitin' on you to show?
If you said the words, I would get up and go

It's a beautiful thing when you come to me
A beautiful thing when you come to meIt's the thrill of your sound, it puts me on the ground
Well, I'm gone but I'll be home soon
It's the thrill of your sound, it puts me on the ground
Well, I'm gone but I'll be home soon
It's a beautiful thing when you come to me

The Elms were an American Rock And Roll band from Seymour, Indiana active from 2000-2010 under Sparrow/EMI Records and later Universal Records South. They were known for their breed of midwestern, rootsy rock, with the essence of the music of the 60's and 70's. Musically, the band has been compared by critics to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Cream for their blues-tinged, instrumentally sparse arrangements.
