Compromise Lyrics

Why don't you come to me?
Why don't you realize?
My heart is breaking up
My heart is breaking up
Where are you coming from?
Why don't you compromise?
I don't believe in that
I don't believe in that
I could just let you fall
I could just watch you drown
Why would you want to pull away?
Why would you want to lose that joy?
I don't believe in that
I don't believe in that
Know where your life was before
Know that this emptiness won't cease
I don't believe in that
I don't believe in that

I could just let you fall
I could just watch you drown
And I know you will see what he has done
And I know you'll see what you have done
Its hard to see the path to take
But you know the truth
Why don't you open up your eyes?
Take it to look inside your heart
Mine hurts because you walked away
Why don't you open up your eyes?
Take it to look inside your heart
Mind hurts because you walked away

Southern Soul star Mel Waiters was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, where in 1974 he began his performing career at local teen clubs; after a stint as a radio DJ, he was awarded a government contract to entertain at military bases across the Southwest. With the exception of sax Waiters produced, played and wrote all the material for his first CD release in 1996. The slick "Hit It & Quit It" and "Whatever It Took" gave me his first Southern hits. He followed this up with his second for the Serious Sounds with "Suki Suki Man" that got his biggest song to date with the title track.
