The Koobas (initially known as The Kubas) were formed in Liverpool, UK. The group was formed in 1962 by former members of two other Liverpool groups, Keith Ellis (bass) and Tony O'Riley (drums) had been in The Thunderbeats while Roy Morris (guitar/vocals) and Stu Leatherwood (guitar/vocals) joined from The Midnighters and disbanded in 1968 after flirting with the psychedelic sound.
