Control I'm Here Lyrics

I'm here
We close our eyes, we close our eyes
Close them in your dreams, close them in your home
I'm here to stay, they don't go awayYou don't need me, I'll slip away
You can't hear me, I'm not the same
You're hoping that I'm not here
You're hoping that I'm not hereAnd I'm slipping through your open mouth
Slipping through your open mouth
Open through your door
Shut the door, shut the door
Shut the door, shut the doorControl, I'm here
Control, I'm hereI've got a dream, I've got a dream
Grinding in your head, grinding in your chest
I've got control, I've got to go
Get this, get this
(Get this)Come on to me, come on to me
Come inside your home, come inside your dreams
I'm here to stay, I won't go away

You don't need me, I'll slip awayYou can't hear me, I'm not the same
You're hoping that I'm not here
You're hoping that I'm not here
And I'm slipping through your open mouthSlipping through your open mouth
Shut the door, shut the door
Shut the door, shut the doorControl, I'm here
Control, I'm hereShine on to me, shine on to me
Shining in your hands, shining in your hands
Shining in my head, shining in my head
I've got control, I've got to goShut the door, shut the door
Start it up, start it up
Start it up, start it up
Slipping through my open mouthSlipping through my fingertips
Slipping through my open mouth
Slipping through my fingertips
Slipping through my fingertipsShut the door, shut the door
Shut the door, shut the door
Control, get this
(I'm here)Control, get this
(Get this)
I'm here, get this
I'm here, control
(Get this)
I'm here, controlGet this, I'm here
Get this, I'm here
Get this, I'm here
Get this, get thisI'm here, control
Control, control
Get this, I'm here

Formed in Chelmsford when main protagonists Douglas McCarthy (vocals) and Bon Harris (drums, programming) were just 15, Nitzer Ebb cut a dynamic swathe through the electronic music and Balaeric beat scenes of the 1980s and 90s. They were electro-punks before the genre even existed, at a time when The Prodigy were not even a gleam in fellow Essex boy Liam Howlett's eye. Militaristic, intimidating yet always accessible, Nitzer Ebb enjoyed a string of ferocious club hits and released five critically acclaimed albums on Mute.
