Cow Cow Boogie Lyrics

Cow Cow Boogie LyricsOut on the plains down near Santa Fe
I met a cowboy ridin' the range one day
And as he jogged along I heard him singin'
A most peculiar cowboy song
It was a ditty, he learned in the city
Comma ti yi yi yeah
Comma ti yippity yi yeahNow get along, get hip little DOGIES
Get along, better be on your way
Get along, get hip little DOGIES
AND He trucked 'em on down that old fairway
Singin' his Cow Cow Boogie in the strangest way
Comma ti yi yi yeah
Comma ti yippity yi yeahSingin' his cowboy songs
He's just too much
He's got a knocked out western accent with a HARLEM touch
He was raised on LOCO WEED
He's what you call a swing half breed
Singin' his Cow Cow Booogie in the strangest way

Comma ti yi yi yeah
Comma ti yippity yi yeah
Singin' his cowboy songs
He's just too much
He's got a knocked out western accent with a HARLEM
touch
THAT CAT was raised on LOCO WEED
JACK, He's what you call a swing half breed
Singin' his Cow Cow BOOGIE in the strangest way
Comma ti yi yi yeah
Comma ti yippity yi yeah
Comma ti yi yi yeah
Comma ti yippity yi yeah
GIT, GIT, GIT ALONG LITTLE DOGIES, YOU BETTER BE ON YOUR WAY

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 – June 15, 1996), also known as "Lady Ella" and the "First Lady of Song", is considered one of the most influential jazz vocalists of the 20th century.

With a vocal range spanning three octaves, she was noted for her purity of tone, phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing. She is widely considered to have been one of the supreme interpreters of the Great American Songbook.

The Ink Spots were a rather popular vocal group that helped define the musical genre that led to rhythm & blues and rock and roll, and the subgenre doo-wop. They gained much acceptance in the community. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
