Crazy Fool Lyrics

Hi, how you
Bet you didn't even think I knew
About that girl that you'd been talking to
Now we doWell look at me
She resembles everything you see
Had me laughing when I heard that she
Was your baby, maybe she's crazyOoh I thought you knew
He'd been looking for a fair haired fool like you
He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
Crazy fool
Don't you think I knew
He'd been looking for the type to see him through
He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
You crazy foolHeard your dirty calls
The writing's on the wall
Slip but didn't fall, boy
So longOoh I thought you knew
He'd been looking for a fair haired fool like you

He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
Crazy fool
Don't you think I knew
He'd been looking for the type to see him through
He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
You crazy foolAnd it's something you'll regret so
I'll forgive but won't forget though
When your fingers burn you'll learn so
I had to goOoh I thought you knew
He'd been looking for a fair haired fool like you
He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
Crazy fool
Don't you think I knew
He'd been looking for the type to see him through
He'd been waiting all his life to be with you
You crazy fool

The (then nameless) rhythm section recorded for the entire stable of artists signed to the company (including Hank Ballard, Donnie Elbert, Shirley & Company, Chuck Jackson, Brook Benton, Solomon Burke, Brother to Brother, Eleanor Mills, The Moments, Etta James, and others who were never released).
