Cross The Line Lyrics

(Chorus):
I've got a million and one, reasons never to talk to you
My friends, they think I've lost my mind
I don't stop I'm just running and running and running and running and running and running
I never cross the line
(Verse 1):
Last week you got with Billy
'fore that it was Jack and Timmy
And I got you back with Jenny
It doesn't really count I drank Jack and Henny
Girl you should be in prison
I'm making down my mission
I try to tell you I'm leavin', but shit, you never listen
You want my money, now my money's all gone
But I forget when we're dancing, I'm all song
And I swear on this red cup, that girl I'm so fed up
My friends give me heads up, and you just won't let up
(Chorus): x2

I've got a million and one, reasons never to talk to you
My friends, they think I've lost my mind
I don't stop I'm just running and running and running and running and running and running
I never cross the line
(Verse 2):
Can we keep this on the low
There's no telling how far I can go
You got the mic and I'm on your show
You can push me over like a domino
I'm trying not to step all on your toes
And leave my prince for your fancy clothes
But I thought that I was the one you chose
I thought that I was the one who knows
Secrets you don't tell your friends
But it looks like the joke's on me again
Laugh it up, and watch me pretend
That the race is over and I can see the end
I know exactly what's in store
Being with you is such a chore
Used my heart to mop the floor
I know it's bad, but I still want more
(Chorus): x2
I've got a million and one, reasons never to talk to you
My friends, they think I've lost my mind
I don't stop I'm just running and running and running and running and running and running
I never cross the line
(Verse 3):
I take one step forward, and two steps back
I can see you're made of stone, and you're never gonna crack
I take one step forward, and two steps back
I can see you're made of stone, and you're never gonna crack
Can't get it?
Let it go
Can't get it?
Let it go
Can't get it?
Let it go
If I can't get it
Let it go
Can't get it?
Let it go
Can't get it?
Let it go
Can't get it?
Let it go
But I can't say no

Down With Webster is a six piece hip-hop band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada made up of Patrick Gillett (Pat) on Vocals and Guitar, Martin Seja (Bucky Buck) and Cameron Hunter (Cam) on Vocals, Tyler Armes on Bass and Keyboards, Andrew Martino (Marty) on Drums, and Dave Ferris (Diggy) as DJ. During live shows the band sometimes uses a three piece horn section.

Down With Webster formed in Toronto in the late 90's, beginning as a high school talent show jam band. They recently signed with Universal Motown in April 2009.

In 2007, after multiple demo releases, they released their self titled album and it was available on the Kill The 8 store, as well as merch.

And in 2008, Down With Webster won the Rogers Mobile/Universal Music best unsigned artist in Canada award, and in 2009 both KISS front man Gene Simmons and Timbaland expressed interest in signing the band to their respective labels. According Timbaland, "That group is the most amazing and creative, innovative group that’s going to come out in 2010."

The band's debut EP Time to Win Vol. 1 was released on October 6, 2009, and the single "Rich Girl$" debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 at #47 for the week of October 24, 2009, and peaked at #21 on January 9, 2010. The follow-up single "Your Man" was released to Canadian radio stations in January 2010. Since then it has peaked at #12 on the Canadian Hot 100, outperforming their debut single on the chart. In August 2010, the band released "Whoa is Me" as their last single on the "Time to Win, Vol. 1" EP.

From mid-October 2010 through late November, Down with Webster toured with 3oh!3 on the "Streets of Gold" tour. They gained a large American following during this. After the tour, the boys arrived back to Toronto to finish recording their follow-up album, "Time to Win, Vol. 2" before their own headlining tour, "Wintour 2011".

The band is from the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto and have played the Beaches International Jazz Festival from 2003-2005 and can be seen walking around this neighbourhood in the summer.
