Żak is a pseudonym which the artist uses when performing pop music. He uses his real name, Ciupiński, when composing modern classical music, which has been performed in Poland as well as France (Festival of Electronic Music in Bourges 2005), Italy, England (including a performance of Subtraction at the New Music Festival in Bromsgrove, a performance of Sextet by the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and a performance of Continuum by Haverhill Sinfonia), Scotland, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine (a performance of Senko at the Festival "Contrasts" in 2005 by Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra).
