Crying Time Lyrics

Oh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away, look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darlin', ooh
That it won't be long before it's cryin' timeNow they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
(Fonder)
And that tears are only rain to make love grow
Well, my love for you could never grow no stronger
(Stronger)
If I lived to be a hundred years oldOh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away, look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darlin', yeah, now
That it won't be long before it's cryin' timeNow you say you've found someone that you love better
(Better)
That's the way it's happened every time before
And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow
(Tomorrow)
Cryin' time will start when you walk out the doorOh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away, look in your eyes

I can tell by the way you hold me, darlin', alright, now
That it won't be long before it's cryin' time
(That it won't be long before it's cryin' time)

Phillip Walker (born February 11, 1937, Welsh, Louisiana) is a contemporary blues guitarist most noted for his 1959 hit single, "Hello My Darling", produced by J.R. Fulbright. Although Walker has continued playing since then, he has recorded fairly sparsely. Walker grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast, and by his mid-teens was playing guitar in Houston. He rubbed shoulders with Lonesome Sundown (whom he would work again in the 1970s) and Lonnie Brooks.
