Dark Eyed Cajun Woman Lyrics

I think back to the time
When I first saw your face
You were walkin' across the delta
To your cold and lonely placeYou know, I took you for a small girl
Really not quite seventeen
Oh, Lord, but I was wrong, oh, so wrong
You're like a woman I've never seenDark eyed Cajun woman
Where are you comin' from
Your soul is in the back woods
They say you never had a homeBut I'm gonna know you better
If it takes all night and day
Dark eyed Cajun woman
You'll never get away, no, noNow the evenin' breeze is blowin'
I hear your voice most everywhere
Your cold black eyes, they are dancin' in the starlight
Warmin' the cold night airIt's so beautiful, you know I have to say
Dark eyed Cajun woman
You'll never get awayNow the evenin' breeze is blowin'

I hear your voice most everywhere
Your cold black eyes, they are dancin' in the starlight
Warmin' the cold night airIt's so beautiful, you know I gotta say
Dark eyed Cajun woman
Well, you'll never get away

Rudi Biber, born in Vienna Austria, became a plumber (not “Joe the Plumber”) in his father’s business but was always attracted to music – especially to his favorite instrument – the guitar. Early on, he started to learn the instrument; first he taught himself; later he mastered the instrument at music school and the Vienna Conservatorium. At 11 years old, he formed his first band, “Teenbeats”. They began playing different community centers in Vienna because he was not allowed into the clubs due to his age.
