Day One Lyrics

Hang on alone without you
Hang on enough to do what must be done
One bridge to cross and one to burnI'll tell you I won't hide
And I won't run
This is day oneI hear the drums on the battlefield
Calling up my courage and my pride
I can't explain the way I feel
But my heart of heart won't be deniedEven in the darkest hours
I know my time will come
This is day oneYou don't know about me
I'll give you a look inside my heart
Don't walk away without me
Because you know I've loved you from the startEven in the darkest hours
I know our time will come
This is day oneI had to watch from the shadows
While the light of your star filled the sky
It's what I live for, it's what I fight for
Girl, I loved you so from day one
