Day of Reckoning Lyrics

Satellite town shook up youth
I used to dream of an unshakeable truth
Something I could fly my flag upon
and never need to give inBut now I'm all through taking swipes
I got promoted and I lost my stripes
I'm ditchin' all I've been bitchin' about
and letting love come inI used to walk down lonely street
Past the bars and the grand hotels
Checking out all the beautiful people
who were checking in
Now I walk like the street is mine
Hand in hand with our dreams entwined
Baby, you brought about my day of reckoningI see the sun paint the whole town red
And softly show me back to you instead
I'm confessin' all my sins and I'm reachin'
with a higher aimStrolling down by the marketplace
Hangin' music on a half - seen face
But rollin' round in my head is the sound of

"I Heard Her Call My Name"What's the deal with the fear I feel,
is it the real me squealin'?
On the one on the run from the sum of my heart and soul
Who'd take a trip round the universe
In my head while my world got worse
And disengage, slip my stays, float away until I'd lost control
