December Sun (Acoustic Version) Lyrics

It's 5PM on a summer Sunday and I'm a witness to a wonder of this world.(V1)
From your brightest day to your darkest night I've seen it all. With the weight of the world on our shoulders we'd never fall.
These sun-heated footpaths trigger memories of bliss, yet our hideaway, lit by stars, shows a picture-perfect moment.(Pre-Chorus)
Therefore this I know, by day or night, by drunk or sober, I was born for you.(Chorus)
And it's 5PM on a summer Sunday and I'm a witness to a wonder of this world,
and I'm leaving for now, but I'll run back tonight
because I know I won't ever love again after you.(V2)
We fall asleep in your room and it's a sense of perfection. No-one else exists on this side of the door. So can I make this Heaven my home? There just won't be more perfect timing or a lasting impression like you.(Pre-Chorus)
Therefore this I know, from day by day, year from year, I won't forget you.(Chorus)
And it's 5PM on a summer Sunday and I'm a witness to a wonder of this world,
and I'm leaving for now, but I'll run back tonight
because I know I won't ever love again after you.(Bridge)
So, please, tell me now, will I see that sun again?, and don't tell me how to fall in-love again.
Stop lying to yourself - don't say this isn't meant to be. Stop trying to convince yourself that this isn't meant to be.(Chorus)
And it's 5PM on a summer Sunday and I'm a witness to a wonder of this world,
and I'm leaving for now, but I'll run back tonight
because I know I won't ever love again after you.

Avastera are a fresh and diverse band on the rise from Perth, Western Australia. To simply narrow them down and label them to one specific genre would not justify their unique sound. A catchy blend of Pop-Punk, Post-Hardcore, Commercial Pop/Rock and a touch of Melodic Metal are just some of the tasteful elements carefully executed in the right sections of every song to emulate what has become their accessibly distinct sound. Shortly after releasing an online sampler/teaser video of their upcoming debut EP, The Clocks Have Ticked Too Long, the public reaction showed it was apparent that their modern, unique and original sound was set to catch on to audiences over a wide variety of genres across the board of the music spectrum.

Within the first 6 months of playing live shows, Avastera have managed to land live support slots with internationally renowned acts such as SILVERSTEIN (CAN), CARTEL(USA) and THE GETAWAY PLAN (AUS).
Within the first year of active productivity, Avastera have self-accomplished, self-funded and self-managed a number of successful milestones including; Working together with Gold-record American Producer, Paul Leavitt (ALL TIME LOW, SENSES FAIL, VERSA EMERGE, THE DANGEROUS SUMMER) on their debut EP due for release on March 29th, working in conjunction with graphic designer, Alex Sheldon of Match & Kerosene (BRING ME THE HORIZON, MAYDAY PARADE, NEW FOUND GLORY, AVENGED SEVENFOLD) from Detroit, MI, USA for the official artwork and layout on their debut EP, for their third show they were appointed as the opening act for major label Pop-Rock act CARTEL (USA) on the Perth leg of the tour, in advance to the release date of their debut EP, Avastera self-funded a high-end professional music video with accredited director, Tim Brade. Within hours of release, the music video proved to be a big hit and sparked much talk and anticipation within the Perth/Western Australian music scene alone. Following the success of the music video, Avastera had a massive success with their official release party/launch show for "The Clocks Have Ticked Too Long" @ Villa Nightclub on March 27, 2012. Not long after the event, Chris Hanssen was approached by ESP Guitars and officially signed up as an endorsee on the Australian roster.
