Deck The Halls Lyrics

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa la la, la la la, la la la
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol
Fa la la la la, la la la la
See the blazing Yule before us
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Strike the harp and join the chorus
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Follow me in merry measure-
Fa la la, la la la, la la la-
While I tell of Yuletide treasure
Fa la la la la, la la la la
All the stars have come out to shine so bright

On this Christmas night, Christmas night
We can share the special time so
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Sing we joyous all together
Fa la la, la la la, la la la
Hope the north pole gets my letter
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Deck the halls, Deck the halls
Deck the halls, Deck the halls
Fa la la la la, la la la la

After growing up in Seattle, Washington, in 1965, Coryell moved to New York City where he became part of Chico Hamilton's quintet, replacing Gabor Szabo. In 1967 and 1968, he recorded with Gary Burton. His music during the late 1960s and early 1970s combined the influences of rock, jazz and eastern music. He formed his own group, The Eleventh House, in 1974. Following the break-up of this band, Coryell played mainly acoustic guitar, but returned to electric guitar later in the 1980s.
