Depend on Me Lyrics

Don't let your head hang down like that
As if there was something on the ground
Something you are looking for
You already foundWhatever it is you're aiming at
Whatever distance you must cross
Not as far as you think it is
Not as far as you thought it wasAnd if you lose your mind
It's only in your head
If your eyes go blind
Feel your way insteadAnd I'll be there, I'll be right there
Where I'm meant to be
And if I depend on you
Depend on meDepend on me
You can depend on me
You can depend on meCome on, baby take my word
My word's about as good as it gets
I know the language of your heart
Better than the alphabetAnd if you think that that's absurd

Stick around this'll make you smile
I might not be your puppet, girl
But I've been hanging for a long, long whileAnd if you lose your mind
It's only, only in your head
If your eyes go blind
Feel your way insteadAnd I'll be there, I'll be right there
Where I'm meant to be
And if your drowning in the deep end
Depend on meDepend on me
You can depend on me
You can depend on meWhatever it is you're aiming at
Whatever distance you must cross
Not as far as you think it is
Not as far as you thought it wasAnd if you lose your mind
It's only in your head
If your eyes go blind
Feel your way, feel your way insteadAnd I'll be there, I'll be right there
Where I'm meant to be
And if I depend on you, depend on me
If I depend on you depend, depend on meOh yeah, depend on me, yeah
Oh yeah, depend on me

Graham Parker (born November 18, 1950 in London) is a British rock singer and songwriter. He continues to be best-known as the leader (and singer) of the popular British band Graham Parker & The Rumour, though he has has a number of solo albums to his name. Despite moderate commercial success, he has consistently been hailed by critics as one the most prominent musicians of his generation, with his wittily-heated, often class-conscious lyrics and energy-fueled music preceding the arrival punk rock and new wave music.
