Digging Your Scene Lyrics

I just got your message, baby
So sad to see you fade away...
What in the world is this feeling, catch a breath and leave me reeling?
It'll get you in the end, it's God's revenge!Oh, I know I should come clean,
But I prefer to deceive
Everyday I walk alone and pray that God won't see me
I know it's wrong, I know it's wrong,Tell me, why is it I'm digging your scene?
I know I'll die, babyThey put you in a home to fill in
But I wouldn't call that living
I'm like a boy among men, I'd like a permanent friend
I'd like to think that I was just myself againOh, tell me, why is it I'm digging your scene?
I know I'll die, babyI just got your message, baby
So sad to see you fade away
I'm like a boy among men, I'd like a permanent friend
Well, I'd like to think that I was just myself againOh, tell me, why is it I'm digging your scene?
I know I'll die, babyOh, tell me, why is it I'm digging your scene?
I know I'll die, babyOh, come on, baby
Oh, come on, baby

The Blow Monkeys is a British pop and blue eyed soul group that is best known for its 80s work, particularly the international top 20 pop hit "Digging Your Scene". With their snappy dress sense and androgynous image, the band drew comparisons to new wave and art rock contemporaries such as The Style Council and Roxy Music. Fronted by lead singer and songwriter Dr. Robert (born Bruce Robert Howard, in Haddington, Scotland, on 2 May 1961), the group formed in 1981 upon Howard's return to the U.K. after spending his teen years in Australia.
