Shelly Lares, singer/songwriter, ventured into the music world at age ten. Twenty-eight years later she became one of Tejano's Greatest Superstars Shelly caught her break by singing “Let Me Be There” by Olivia Newton John at her sister's wedding. Within minutes Shelly became the new lead singer of the band called, “Hot Tamales.” After four years with the Hot Tamales, she decided she wanted more on a national level, through hard work and perseverance she would get there. Therefore, Shelly preformed at local venues in San Antonio to gain more exposure and stay in the public eye.
