Disco Lady Lyrics

Shake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady
Move it in, move it out
Move it in and about disco ladyShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it around, disco ladyHey sexy lady
Said I like the way you move your thang, Lord, have mercy girl
you dance so fine, and you're right on time
Girl you ought to be on TV on soul trainWhen you get the groove, it ain't no stoppin'
Just can't help it, but I'm, I'm finger pop-pinShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady
Move it in, move it out
Move it in and about, disco ladyShake it baby, shake it
Baby, shake your thang
Shake it baby, shake it
Baby, shake your thangYou got me groovin', I feel like movin'
You got me lovin' can't sit still I'm groovin'
I like that funky stuffShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady

Shove it in, move it out
Move it in and about, disco ladyHey sexy lady!
Girl, you drive me crazy
You dance so fine and you're right on time
Girl, you're driving me out of my mindIf it wasn't for the girl sittin' next to me
I'd jump right up and out-ta my safety seat
You got me hypnotized, soul mesmo-ized
Girl, your movin' me girl your groovin' meShake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake itShake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake it
Shake it baby, shake itShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady
Move it in, move it out
Shove it in and about, disco ladyShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady
Move it in, move it out
Shove it in and about, disco ladyShake it up, shake it down
Move it in, move it round, disco lady

Johnnie Harrison Taylor (born May 5, 1937, Crawfordsville, Arkansas; died May 31, 2000, Dallas, Texas) was an American musician that sang in a wide variety of genres, including blues, disco, gospel, pop, and soul. Often using an energetic, belting delivery, he's perhaps best known for his work for the iconic Stax/Volt label, particularly with southern soul classics such as "Who's Making Love" and "Jody's Got Your Girl and Gone" in which he held his own against friendly rivals such as Otis Redding and Sam & Dave.
