Diva Lady Lyrics

She's a diva lady
She's a hopeless case
She needs extra make-up
For her extra face
She's a hopeless caseShe's a diva lady
She's got special needs
She wants chocolate candy
But no blue ones please
She's got special needsShe lives in a vacuum
She has no real home
Where did diva come from?
Where shall diva go?
She has no real homeShe's got thirty people
In her entourage
Just in case her ego
Needs a quick massageShe's got a famous boyfriend
They go out in style
She makes him look hetero

He helps her profileShe's a diva lady
She looks down her nose
At the shoes I'm wearing
And my care-worn clothes
Such a pretty nose
Such a pretty nose, yeahShe's a diva lady
Diva lady

The Divine Comedy is a baroque pop band now based in Dublin, Ireland, fronted by Neil Hannon. Neil Hannon, Originally from Derry, has been the only ever-present member of the band, being its founder in 1989 when he was joined by John McCullagh and Kevin Traynor. Their first album, the heavily R.E.M.-influenced and now-deleted Fanfare for the Comic Muse, enjoyed little success though. A couple of equally unsuccessful EPs - Timewatch (1991); Europop (1992) - were to follow, with newly-recruited member John Allen handling lead vocals on some tracks.
