Do That Stuff Lyrics

It was a thrill upon a hill
Everybody was feelin' realEverybody had the look
It was written all over their face
Giving up the funk
A-waitin' for the bombYou wouldn't believe how they partied
You would believe they'd never stop
Dancing to some funky new soundDa da, da daa da
Da da da daI want to go back and get
More of that funky stuff
I got to get some more of that
More of that funky stuffI want to go back and get
More of that funky stuff
I got to get some more of that
More of that funky stuffDa da, da daa da
Da da da daIt was a thrill upon a hill
Everybody was feelin' realIt was a thrill upon a hill
Everybody was feelin' realThey were still gettin' down came daylight
Been funkin' most ever since midnightWhen day came they wasn't slowing

Feeling it's awfully late would wait
Mmm, be aboutYou would not believe how they partied
Da da da daDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDa da, da daa da
Da da da daDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDa da, da daa da
Da da da daDa da, da daa da
Da da da daI want to go back and get
More of that funky stuff
I got to get some more of that
More of that funky stuffDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffIt was a thrill upon a hill
Everybody was feelin' realIt was a thrill upon a hill
Everybody was feelin' realDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuffDo that stuff, just do that stuff
Do that stuff, ahh, do that stuff

Parliament was originally The Parliaments, a doo-wop group based out of George Clinton's Plainfield, New Jersey barber shop. The name was soon abandoned due to legal issues with Revilot and Atlantic Records, and most of the same people recorded under the name Funkadelic, which consisted of The Parliaments' backing musicians. Billy "Bass" Nelson is credited with creating the name Funkadelic. He also switched from 6-string guitar to bass, creating room for his childhood friend Eddie Hazel to join the group.
