Don't Mind Me Lyrics

Don't mind me, I'm just a, a bit maniacal about you
And derailed when I'm without you, don't mind me
Don't mind me, if you could love me just a little it'd be okay
'Cause I couldn't leave you anyway, don't mind meIt doesn't matter what you say, I just like the way you sound
And if you turn away, I'll just turn you back around
Come on baby please play your song for meDon't blame me, it's just your burning gravity
That brings me to my knees in front of you
Don't blame me I just wanna get you on the ground
Play a little lost and found, don't blame meIt doesn't matter what you say, I just like the way you sound
And if you turn away I'll just turn you back around
Come on baby please, play your song for meIf you could love me, if you could only love me
I'd walk across hot coals to you, I'd stop the rain and wind for you
I'd save all my sin for you for you for youIt doesn't matter what you say, I just like the way you sound
And if you turn away I'll just turn you back around
Come on baby please, play your song for me

Lucy Kaplansky (born 1960) is a folk musician. Originally from Chicago, at the age of 18 she moved to New York City, where she became involved in the city's Greenwich Village folk music scene. In 1983, she decided to become a psychologist, enrolling in Yeshiva University. She continued playing music while completing her PhD, and began to have some success as part of a duo with Shawn Colvin. However, when they began to attract record company interest, Kaplansky declined, choosing instead to set up a private practice and become a staff psychologist at a New York hospital.
