Don't You Ever Leave Me Lyrics

The nights are wearing me down
And it's hard getting through the day
'Cause I need you right now
And right now you're so far awayI guess that I should have known
That I'd end up this way
But I swear I'll come home
And then nothing will drag me awayDon't you ever leave me, baby
Don't you ever leave me now
Don't you ever leave me, baby
If you leave me you will kill me nowNow that so much time has passed
I know that this love of ours will last forever
'Cause we feel it, keep it, hold it and believe it
You need me like I need you
I know you do, I'm sure you doThe lights are slowly going down
On Lexington Avenue
And me, I'm all alone feeling the tears
Falling down from my eyesA subway train is passing by
Driving into the darkness

I jump inside 'cause I ain't got
Nowhere to sleep tonightDon't you ever leave me, baby
Don't you ever leave me now
Don't you ever leave me, baby
If you leave me you will kill me nowI was forcing myself just to walk through the day
When all I really wanted to do was curl up in a corner and cry
Nothing had any meaning and I just think
Let's give it another day and see if anything happens
Then you came along like my own ray of sunshine
And made me feel warm, safe and alive againDon't you ever leave me, baby
Don't you ever leave me now
Don't you ever leave me, baby
If you leave me you will kill me nowDon't you ever leave me, baby
Don't you ever leave me now
Don't you ever leave me, baby
If you leave me you will kill me nowDon't you ever leave me, baby
Don't you ever leave me, baby

Hanoi Rocks was a Finnish glam rock band formed in 1979, whose most successful period came in the early 1980s. The band broke up in 1985 after their drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley died in a car accident a year earlier. Original members vocalist Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy reunited in 2001 and were active with the new line-up of Hanoi Rocks until 2009. In the 80s, Hanoi Rocks were the most successful Finnish band internationally and are still popular in the United States, Japan, and the UK.
