Double Coyote Lyrics

I was standing on the corner
With a suitcase in my hand
There was a woman right behind me
Sayin' honey won't you be a man
I said, I'd love to baby
But I've got to go be with the bandI got to go, go, go
Go baby, go
Go honey, go
Double coyote manI got to go, go, go
Go baby, go
Go mama, go
Double coyote manI couldn't believe it when somebody said
You was out on the road with another bandI got to go, go, go
Go baby, go
Go mama, goI got to go, go, go
Go baby, go
Go mama, go
Double coyote man, yes I am

We all worked this thing out now, come onI couldn't believe it when somebody said
You was out on the road in the back of the bus
With the opening act and the technical crew
And the manager too, what's the matter with you?

Damn Yankees was an American hard rock supergroup, well known for the single High Enough, formed in 1985, consisting of Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Shaw (Styx), Ted Nugent and drummer Michael Cartellone. Presumably inspired by the musical of the same name, Nugent once also explained that he coined the name because whenever someone asked him how he and Tommy Shaw would sound playing together, he would always reply by saying they would sound like "a bunch of damn Yankees.
