High Enough Lyrics

I don't wanna hear about it anymore
It's a shame I've got to live without you anymore
Oh, there's a fire in my heart
A pounding in my brain, it's driving me crazyWe don't need to talk about it anymore
Yesterday's just a memory, can we close the door?
I just made one mistake
Oh, I didn't know what to say when you called me babyDon't say goodnight
Say you're gonna stay forever
Oh woah, all the wayCan you take me high enough?
Can you fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over, woah, woah, woah, woahI was running, I was running for the door
Ooh yeah, the next thing I remember
I was running back for more, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeahDon't say goodnight
Say you're gonna stay forever
Oh woah, all the way
All the way, all the way, yeah, yeahCan you take me high enough?

Won't you fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over, yesterday's just a memory
Yesterday's just a memory

Damn Yankees was an American hard rock supergroup, well known for the single High Enough, formed in 1985, consisting of Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Shaw (Styx), Ted Nugent and drummer Michael Cartellone. Presumably inspired by the musical of the same name, Nugent once also explained that he coined the name because whenever someone asked him how he and Tommy Shaw would sound playing together, he would always reply by saying they would sound like "a bunch of damn Yankees.
