Dreamer Lyrics

Can't stop, stop the hurting
Can't stop, stop the breathing
Can't stop, stop these tears for you, my dearDon't know why it's so bad
This life's been so bad
I'm glad, I finally found you hereYou're the voice of a dream I had
You're the voice and I'm so glad
You're the weight of a dream of a life come trueThere's no denying
I sometimes run and chase the moon
I just can
I sometimes run and chase the views
And dream of youMy heart locked in absence
My heart locked and fearful
I see no one can be here todayMy thoughts locked in thinking
My thoughts locked believing
I see no one can be here with meYou're the light of a dream I had
You're the voice and I'm so glad
You're the weight of a dream of a life come trueThere's no denying
I sometimes run and chase the moon

And think of you
I sometimes run and chase the views
And not of youI sometimes run and chase the moon
But I'm just dreaming
I sometimes run and chase the views
But I'm still dreamingDreaming, I'm dreaming
Dreaming, I'm dreaming
Dreaming, I'm dreaming

Toni Childs was born in Orange, California, but was moved to several small towns in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Nevada during her childhood. At the age of 15, Childs ran away from home and became a blues musician. In 1972, Childs saw Pink Floyd in concert, and afterwards decided to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter. Childs joined the band Berlin in 1979, but left to form her own group before the recording of Berlin's first album. Toni Childs and the Movers, which included Jack Sherman and Micki Steele, toured for two years but did not release an album.
