Driftin' and Driftin' Lyrics

I'm driftin' and driftin', like a ship out on the sea
I'm driftin' and driftin', like a ship out on the sea
Nobody seems to want me
Except the wide and open seaMy ship ain't got no captain, my ship ain't got no crew
My ship ain't got no captain, my ship ain't got no crew
Doin' that tide dare blow me and my past and future tooI look around for a savior to search me from the hungry sea
I look around for a savior to search me from the hungry sea
Maybe he's down at the bottom, waiting patiently for me

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was signed to Elektra Records after adding Michael Bloomfield as lead guitarist. Their original debut album was scrapped, then re-recorded after the addition of organist Mark Naftalin. Finally, their self-titled debut, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, was released in 1965. It had an immediate impact, serving as a wakeup call for a generation of musicians. {...the above is a pathetic and perfunctory facsimile of the biographical tribute this illustrious band deserves.
