Drown Me Lyrics

We both know it's been over for a long time
You're afraid to look me in the eye
Let's order up a bottle of the good stuff
And drink until we don't know how to lieSo won't you give it to me straight?
I got a lot of heart to break
And a lot of love for you that needs to dieWon't you hurt me and hurt me good?
Let the truth burn like it should
Don't just pour it on, drown me
Oh Lord, drown meWhen you say it, won't you say it with conviction?
Hey when you leave don't leave no room for doubt
It won't be easy kicking this addiction
If there's one ounce of hope left to be foundSo won't you make it something strong?
Till everything we had is gone
I know, you've got it in you if you tryWon't you hurt me and hurt me good?
Let the truth burn like it should
Don't just pour it on, drown meSo won't you give it to me straight?
I've got a stubborn old heart to break
And a lot of love for you that needs to dieWon't you hurt me and hurt me good?

Let the truth burn like it should
Don't just pour it on, drown me
Come on, drown me
Oh Lord, drown me

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

Thee Wet Darlings are a female fronted rock band from Columbus, Ohio, United States. Appropriately dubbed ‘sexpot rock’ by Columbus alt. rag The Other Paper, the sound is heavy and the vocals are big, but rarely does the music ever lose its sense of humor. There’s a strain of sarcasm running through tracks like “Vampires” and “Pretty’d” that’s equal parts personal and self deprecating – but is still potent enough to stick like red wine on a white corset. The album opener and first single “Bicycle” winks at its influences without ever treading on retro pastiche.
