Egyptian Song Lyrics

Sweet song singin' take me back
(Ooh, I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me backHere's to, to a long forgotten dream
(Sweet song singin' take me back)
Enshrouded by, by a history so clean
In a place still the same, so rich with time
(Sweet song singin' take me back)
I remain in my heart, my soul, my mindSo clear is the mystery to me
So majestic, yet electric, dose of age I see
There remains a sparkle in the sand
Can't restrain these feelings of my ancient landHere is a melody for you
Sky of white and nylon blue
Let me hurry home to you
To sing, to dance, to laugh, embraceSo vague is this picture I am seeing

(Sweet song singin' take me back)
Yet so clear and so dear my soul is singin'
To belong is this feelin' I am missin'
To embrace this memory I been kissin'
(Sweet song singin' take me back)So clear is this mystery to me
So majestic, yet electric, guest of age I see
There remains a sparkle in the sand
Can't restrain these feelings of my ancient landHere is a melody for you
Sky of white and nylon blue
Let me hurry home to you
To sing, to dance, to laugh, embrace(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(Wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(Wanna go, yeah)
Sweet song singin' take me back(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(I wanna go)
Sweet song singin' take me back
(Take me, me on your back, yeah)
Sweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me backSweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me backSweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me back
Sweet song singin' take me back

A 1970s funk band, best known for launching the career of their lead singer, Chaka Khan. Major hits during their career include "Tell Me Something Good," "Sweet Thing," and "Ain't Nobody"
Rufus gained a fan in Stevie Wonder thanks to their cover of his "Maybe Your Baby." Wonder gave them a new composition, the slowly grinding "Tell Me Something Good," that he'd written specifically with Khan's vocal style in mind. Pulled as a single from their second album, 1974's Rags to Rufus, "Tell Me Something Good" was a Top Five smash that turned Rufus and Khan into stars....
