Emily Lyrics

[Verse 1]
It's never enough in the moment
No matter who I go home with
Late nights awake and alone with
Myself again, and it's lonely
I'm good, I'm good, it's a good time
Keeping all my colors in a straight line
Can't believe it all comes to nothing[Pre-Chorus]
Emily, let the night take me
Down down down the rabbit hole
Dug in deep with my unbelief
And I'm running on empty
Three four five, on the steps we ride
Down down down the rabbit hole
Gotta get out of my head tonight[Chorus]
Let's forget about it, oh
Leave it all alone tonight
And we're waiting on a moment when it feels right

Don't want to talk about it, oh no
I got everything I need
Don't leave me lonely
Don't leave me lonely baby[Verse 2]
Here in my blurry condition
I hide myself in the room and
Just tell them all that it's nothing
Alone with all of these humans
In a fever, leaving after midnight
Young unbeliever in the dim light
Can't believe it all comes to nothing[Pre-Chorus][Chorus][Shortened Pre-Chorus]
Emily, let the night take me
Down down down the rabbit hole
Dug in deep with my unbelief[Chorus][Outro]
Gotta get out of my head tonight
(down down down the rabbit hole)
Gotta get out of my head tonight
(don't leave me lonely baby)
Gotta get out of my head tonight
(down down down the rabbit hole)
Gotta get out of my head tonight
Gotta get out of my head tonight
Gotta get out my head tonight

A pastiche of post-rock, chamber-pop and contemporary classical composition, San Fermin (pronounced SAN fur-MEEN) is the work of Brooklyn composer and songwriter Ellis Ludwig-Leone. His self-titled debut album is strongly influenced by his unique background in classical music, which includes a job assisting composer/arranger Nico Muhly. After finishing his musical studies at Yale, Ludwig-Leone wrote the album in six weeks while holed up in a studio on the mountainous border between Alberta and British Columbia.
