Empire Lyrics

A mask, a cut above
An image of a raging fire
Burning in my mind
(You can't take from me)And once you believe the tales they told
Once you believe in what they sold
Will it bring you to your knees?
Will it change you? The memory will fade
That certainty it gave to meFactions, reactions
To me there's one solution
It's time to rearrange our ways
For you all to create my destruction
We are oneA task, a sky above
The remnants of a lost empire
An effigy, a sign
(You can't take from me)And once you believe the tales they told
Once you believe in what they sold
Will it bring you to your knees?
Will it change you? The memory will fade

That certainty it gave to meFactions, reactions
To me there's one solution
Its time to rearrange our ways
For you all to create my destruction
We are oneThe memory will fade
The memory will fade
That certainty it gave to meFactions, reactions
To me there's one solution
Its time to rearrange our waysThe memory will fade
That certainty it gaveFactions, reactions
To me there's one solution
Its time to rearrange our ways
For you all to create my destructionWe are one
(You can't take from me)
The memory will fade
The memory will fade
That certainty it gave

Superheist is an Australian nu metal band, formed in 1993 in Melbourne by guitarist DW Norton. An early line-up featuring Norton, Rod McLeod (vocals), Anthony Donath (bass) and Sean Pentecost (drums) started out playing grindcore along similar lines to Napalm Death but by 1996 Superheist was established as one of Australia's first successful nu-metal bands. The band's two full length albums, The Prize Recruit (2001) and Identical Remote Controlled Reactions (2002) charted in the Top 20 on the Australian Albums Charts.
