Scars Lyrics

Scars
Scars
Birth and growth
Lessons learnt and stories told
Abandon all you ever knew
So wake up!
It's what you're like you're on
It's what you're getting on
Your heart in pumping
Its jumping
That's when the hammer falls
And all this wickedness
Its all for my personal gain
So put a stop to this pain
I want my friend backYes I will always love him
He lives inside of these scarsScars
ScarsScars
ScarsFreedom gained

Traveled paths
Connections made
A fallen star will rise again
So wake up!
It's what you're like you're on
It's what you're getting on
Your heart in pumping
Its jumping
That's when the hammer falls
And all this wickedness
Its all for my personal gain
So put a stop to this pain
I want my friend backYes I will always love him
He lives inside of these scarsInhale, exhale
Shoot up, shoot in
Is this the way it must begin
You're family lives in pain
They hate to see you dying
The rampage he has run
The shadow he has become
Now you've been there before
I'd tried so hard, I'd walked away
I'm talking emptiness
These words you cannot hear me say
I lived my life with you and I can't watch my friend stack
He's gone away
He's falling
I want my friend backYes I will always love him
He lives inside of these scarsScars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars
Scars

Superheist is an Australian nu metal band, formed in 1993 in Melbourne by guitarist DW Norton. An early line-up featuring Norton, Rod McLeod (vocals), Anthony Donath (bass) and Sean Pentecost (drums) started out playing grindcore along similar lines to Napalm Death but by 1996 Superheist was established as one of Australia's first successful nu-metal bands. The band's two full length albums, The Prize Recruit (2001) and Identical Remote Controlled Reactions (2002) charted in the Top 20 on the Australian Albums Charts.
