Envy Life Lyrics

Yeah
Regarding to the nature used with pacts of magic
Spirits from the vastly deep
Respond the calls from their broken silenceMake sure your reach does not exceed your grasp
All that is to be done before you act
In a pact of invoking spirits from the pastHave you lost your mind
The dark souls of time
Envy life, envy lifeThey see you calling out their names and getting ready
Chant in darkness shrouding near
Through their virtued youth they'll strike a dealWhat's to obtain if no pain no gain
But to sell your soul you must be insane
Wrote your name in blood and then they cameYou're as good as dead
The lost souls of time
Envy life, envy life, yeahHave you lost your mind
The dark souls of time
Envy life, envy lifeYou're as good as dead
The lost souls of time
Envy life, envy lifeCome on down to the house of pain

You hear them calling
Shouting out their names in vain, envy lifeRegarding to the nature used with pacts of magic
Spirits from the vastly deep
Respond the calls from their broken silenceMake sure your reach does not exceed your grasp
All that is to be done before you act
In a pact of invoking spirits from the pastYou're as good as dead
The lost souls of time
Envy life, envy life, envy life, envy life

Testament was one of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980s. Originally formed as 'Legacy' in 1983 by founding members Eric Peterson (rhythm guitar), Derrick Ramirez (guitar) and Louie Clemente (drums), the line-up included vocalist Steve Souza and Greg Christian (bass). Ramirez was later replaced by wunderkind Alex Skolnick (lead guitar). Souza soon departed to join Exodus and suggested that the towering Chuck Billy take over as frontman(and was later run over by a bus).
