Falling Rain Lyrics

I should have seen it coming
I could tell by the look in your eyes
one step and you were gone
but something higher kept me golding on
feel the storm is gaining
you left me dry but now it's raining
girl I'm down on bended knee
our love was me to be
it ain't no game
when love is down in the falling rain
the town ain't the same
there's no more houses to lean on
and sunshine is gone
I should have known much better
I was stranded in the eye of the storm

rescued by your words so warm
fought so hard to keep it hanging on
clear blue skies are fading
there's nothing left it's just me waiting
still I'll make it back to you
it won't be long till I do
