Farewell, Farewell Lyrics

Farewell, farewell to you whod hear
You lonely travelers all
The cold north wind will blow again
The winding road does callAnd will you never return to see
Your bruised and beaten sons
Oh I would, I would if welcome I were
For they loathe me every oneAnd will you never cut the cloth
Or drink the light to be
And can you never swear a year
To anyone but weNo, I will never cut the cloth
Or drink the light to be
But Ill swear a year to one who lies
Asleep along side of meFarewell, farewell to you who would hear
You lonely travelers all
The cold north wind will blow again
The winding road does call

After David Keenan, (guitar, vocals) departed from 18 Wheeler in 1994, he formed the Telstar Ponies in Glasgow, Scotland, with singer Rachel Devine, Gavin Laird (guitar, vocals), and former Teenage Fanclub drummer Brendan O'Hare. Originally viewed by some critics as a weak knock-off of Teenage Fanclub, however from the singles Maps and Starcharts in 1994, Her Name & Not Even Starcrossed In 1995, to their their first album, In The Space Of A Few Minutes their sound developed into something much darker, denser and more experemental.
