Fat Lip Lyrics

I can't believe it, it happens each day
It's ill conceived, just throw it away
To watch the waitin' time slippin' away
It won't be long nowI hold the moment, the hour is sublime
It's hard believin', dancin' with time
To watch the waiting time slippin' away
It won't be long nowDown at the landing when the boats come in
People stand in line
Close by the water where the fishes swim
Round and round to pass the timeBut you know it's gonna get there
Around and around it's gonna spinOut at the airport where the planes come in
People buzzin' like flies
Out at the airport where the planes come in
See the hours go flashin' byBut you know it's gonna get there
Around and around it's gonna spinDown at the station where the trains come in
Never make it on time
Down at the station where the trains come in
See my friends all walk the lineBut you know they're gonna get there

Around and around they're gonna spinView it all with suspicion, view it all and despise
View it all with suspicion, view it all with my eyes

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
