Father's Song Lyrics

Trying to catch this phenomenon is like trying to capture a flame
Everyone wants to save the world but no one will take the blame
And when will we learn the end result of our negligence
Something’s wrong, it’s not quite right, we have misplaced common sense
Excuse me but has anyone seen everyone’s dad?
‘Cause a boy is the only thing that God can use to make a man
And a boy is the only thing that God can use to make a man
Point the finger at education and we curse the silver screen
The prison system regurgitates and we wonder what does this mean
And boys will be boys but not without a man called dad
Something’s wrong, the boy moves on to try to live a life
That he’s never had, to try to live that he’ll never have
Look around the family is a dying breed
And broken homes become majority
And the future is always born from example
So where are the men that God gave the responsibility to lead
