Final Showdown Lyrics

we're gonna hit 'em and we're gonna hit 'em hard (hit'em hard)
we're gonna give you a war you won't believe
we're gonna hit 'em and we're gonna hit 'em hard (hit'em hard)
we're gonna hit 'em and we're gonna tear them apart
tear it apart
I'll lose a thousand battles
but I'll win the war
come the final showdown
I'll settle the score
give me the strength to break away
and I'll burn these idols to the ground
I've fought and lost for for too long
one by one they'll fall
as I grow closer to you
this war will rage no more
once we understand
we're only fighting ourselves
in the end

now is the time
to realize and ask yourself
if this is my fate
will I stand in victory?
brace yourself
prepare yourself
brace yourself for war
this is the end
this is your final showdown
I'll lose a thousand battles
but I'll win the war
come the final showdown
he'll even out the score

In Due Time was a Christian Hardcore band that formed in Jacksonville, FL in late 2001. The lineup went as Eric Hunt(vocals), Drew Hall(bass), Chase Covington(guitar), Trey Curry(guitar), and Cole Covington(drums). They were signed to Facedown imprint, Strike First Records in the Fall of 2003. They released their first record, Back to Basics, in March of 2004. Unfortunately, in May of 2004, Eric left the band, rendering it a 4 piece. Trey decided to put down his guitar and fill in for vocals. With Trey on vocals, they released their second full-length, Final Showdown in the summer of 2005.
