Finding It Hard Lyrics

Well you're fresh out of love touching hearts with a glove
You drop your name and lead 'em on
And the start of our spark was a matter of the dark
Let's adjust and see
We made a hard call, laying down the law
What isn't working? Why am I searching?
Lies need replacing, facts need some facing
We knew it all alongChorus:
Still I'm finding it hard letting you go
Cause you'll take me all away
I'm finding it hard letting you go
When silence has all the sayWell I rob as I earn and I win out of turn
It's a fact that I don't want to face
And I learn every time but the knowledge is a crime
And I rest my case
I watched you close,
You tried to impose the way that you felt on the way that we chose
You let my heart fall, breaking in the law

Matter-of-fact is no way to act when we've been pretending there's not an ending,
You knew it all along(Chorus)My loss is your loss
I'll break at your cost
It's like you're losing to win
Feelings compress into words that are less than the weight that I need you to know
Your choice is polite, but the truth wants a fight when the timing will never be rightStill I'm finding it hard letting you go, cause you'll take me all away...

Formed in July of 2002, the Bridges are an alternative country group consisting of siblings Natalie Byrd (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Stacey Byrd (vocals, guitar), Isaaca Byrd (bass), and Jeremy Byrd (drums), along with cousin Brittany Painter (lead vocals, guitar). Originally from North Carolina, the Bridges are currently based out of Oxford, Alabama, United States where the entire band shares a house and rehearsal space. With a bright pop sound full of three-part harmonies, the Bridges site influences ranging from late-era Fleetwood Mac to the Beatles and Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, and the group's approach, although it draws on these classic 1960s and 1970s sources, is delightfully refreshing. The band signed with Verve Records in December of 2007 and began working on a debut project with Matthew Sweet at his studio in L.A. that same year.
