Five Days & Counting Lyrics

In my car
Five days and counting here you are
The phone rings what more could you sayI know you won't ever admit that
You fell for him, he never loved you back
Isn't it wonderful? So predictable? I told you soStay awake
I'm here now, don't say sorryNot waking up
'Cause he knows you're calling
He's holding back
'Cause he knows you're fallingYou night and day
And that's why he's stalling
But one day
You'll be sorryI hope that you never relive that
Something tells me trouble always gives you a hand
It's just a matter of passing time, after time, after timeStay awake tonight
Forget about your last goodbyes and you'll be sorries
Stay awake tonight
Forget about your last goodbyes now don't say sorry, say sorryStay awake
I'm here now, don't say sorry

Stay awake
I'm here why don't you tell me is it worth itTo close your eyes and live a dream
Tell me, was it perfect?
Was he really everything
You ever thought someone could be?Stay awake tonight
Forget about your last goodbyes and you'll be sorriesStay awake
I'm here now don't say sorry
Stay awake
I'm here why don't you, don't youStay awake tonight
Just forget about your last goodbyes and you'll be sorries
Stay awake tonight
Just forget about your last goodbyes now don't say sorry

Formed in 1998, Spitalfield caught the attention of Victory Records with the 2002 release of The Cloak and Dagger Club EP and a year later released fan-favorite Remember Right Now. Spitalfield also released an album titled Stop Doing Bad Things in 2005 which featured songs like "Gold Dust V. The State Of Illinois" and "So I heard You Joined a Convent". The band's name comes from what members describe as a village where Jack the Ripper came from.
