Force of Nature Lyrics

Pre>this little shuffle climbs and climbs over the circular chord progression.
It's fun to play. when I look at the lyrics it makes me think this woman
Is one of gp's fictional favourites - the sloane ranger he loves to despise.
It's probably not a real person, but no doubt he knows the type.Intro: bb eb bb eb bb eb bb bbVerse
Bb c
She's got everything she needs and it isn't you
Eb f
A cosmetic arsenal a bucket of glue
Bb c
Signs on her back that say keep on the grass
Eb f
Powerful liquor in a hip flask
Bb c
Coins from the commonwealth doubloons from the sea
Eb f
A knife in her boot heel a bonsai tree
Bb c
Ice cream in her pocket diamonds from her fence

Eb f
It all works like clockwork it all makes senseChorus
Bb eb bb eb bb eb
To a force of nature, force of nature, force of nature
Bb bb
That's what she isWith her clouded leopard on a leash in the shed
A vicious black rodent she calls fred
She keeps her diary under the bed
But there's nothin' in it cos it's all in her head
Walkin' round london with foreign banknotes
Throwin' silver nunchucks at cab drivers throats
Being invisible being obscene
Being the person you wish you'd beenChorus repeatBridge
Dm cm7
But inside her heart there's a kid locked away in a room
Dm cm7
Who throws a grenade at your feet that explodes with such force
F bb eb bb
That it bursts your balloon like a force of natureBridge
But inside her heart there's this kid locked away in a room
Who peeks through the door every now and again
And says hey I'm coming out soonVerse
Her raincoat jingles your mercury soars
Every last move defies gravity's laws
Her computer's connected directly to the stars
Keeps her emotions in mason jars
Stored in the attic in the roof near the sky
Up in the rafters where the bats fly
Being impossible being on a roll
Being like something you can't controlChords barred:Bb 6-8-8-7-6-6

Graham Parker (born November 18, 1950 in London) is a British rock singer and songwriter. He continues to be best-known as the leader (and singer) of the popular British band Graham Parker & The Rumour, though he has has a number of solo albums to his name. Despite moderate commercial success, he has consistently been hailed by critics as one the most prominent musicians of his generation, with his wittily-heated, often class-conscious lyrics and energy-fueled music preceding the arrival punk rock and new wave music.
