Free To Be A Woman Lyrics

Ooh, freedom
Everybody's trying to tell me somethin'
All about the way to live my life
I don't wanna be nobody's prisoner
Chained and sittin' on a couch until I die
Tryin' desperately to be somebody
An independant personality
You're not exactly rollin' the red carpet
I've learned I have to fight to be free
Ooh, yeah
I just want to be free to be a woman
Free to do what I choose
Free to feel the way I want and change my attitude
Free to be a woman
Free to have a plan
Free to find the best in life and be all that I can
I don't want no artificial sweetners
No, no, no, no

I'm lookin' for a man to feed me limes
No, no, no, no
If you want to check out my body
No, no, no, no
Well first just show an interest in my mind
Ooh, yeah
I just want to be free to be a woman
Free to do what I choose
Free to feel the way I want and change my attitude
Free to be a woman
Free to have my man
Free to find the best in life and be all that I can
You'd better listen to the bass
Play the funky keys
We're gonna get a little funky
Ooh, funky
We're gonna get
We're gonna get
Ooh, freedom
Freedom
Ooh, funky
We're gonna get
We're gonna get
Livin's all about givin'
Never sacrifice
When it comes to your freedom
Live free or die
Ooh, yeah
I just want to be free to be a woman
Free to do what I choose
Free to feel the way I want and change my attitude
Free to be a woman
Loved for who I am
Free to find the best in life and be all that I can
Free to be a woman
Free to do what I choose
Free to feel the way I want and change my attitude
Free to be a woman
Loved for who I am
Free to find the best in life and be all that I can
Ooh, funky
And all the time love my man
Ooh, freedom
I gotta have it now
Ooh, funky
Just a little bit of love now
Ooh, freedom
Just a little bit of love now
Ooh, funky
Just a little bit of love now

Jennifer Love Hewitt (born February 21, 1979 in Waco, Texas) is an American actress, voice actress, and singer-songwriter. As a singer, Hewitt has been signed by Atlantic Records and Jive Records. She is primarily known for her recordings in the pop genre and has a contralto vocal range. To date, her most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100 is the 1999 release How Do I Deal, which peaked at #59. In addition, she has contributed music to the promotion or soundtracks of acting projects. In 2009, Hewitt announced she had begun working on her new album, which she describes as sporting a country sound as opposed to her previous pop records.

In 1991, Meldac funded the recording of Hewitt's first album Love Songs, when she was just 12. The album was only released in Japan in 1992 where Hewitt became a pop star. Her explanation for her success in Japan is that the Japanese "love perky music. The poppier the music, the better." As an actress, Hewitt began her acting career as a child by appearing in television commercials and the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. She rose to fame in teenage popular culture via her roles in the Fox series Party of Five, as Sarah Reeves, and the films I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, as Julie James.

In addition to acting, Hewitt has also served as a producer on certain film or television projects. She can be seen on the CBS television program Ghost Whisperer as Melinda Gordon, a young woman who can communicate with ghosts. She won a Saturn Award in 2007 and 2008 for Best Actress on Television.
