From This Moment On Lyrics

From this moment on,
You for me dear,
Only two for tea dear,
From this moment on,From this happy day,
No more blue songs,
Only hoop-de-doo songs,
From this moment onYou've got the love I need so much
Got the skin I love to touch
Got the arms to hold me tight
Got the sweet lips to kiss me goodnightFrom this moment on
You and I babe
We'll be ridin' high babe
Every care is gone
From this moment on.You've got the love I need so much
Got the skin I love to touch
Got the arms to hold me tight
Got the sweet lips to kiss me goodnightFrom this moment on
You and I babe

We'll be ridin' high babe
Every care is gone
From this moment,
From this moment,
This very moment,
This moment on.

Anita O'Day (October 18, 1919 - November 23, 2006) was an American jazz singer. Few female jazz singers matched the hard-swinging and equally hard-living Anita O'Day for sheer exuberance and talent in all areas of jazz vocals. Her improvising, wide dynamic tone, and innate sense of rhythm made her more than just another big-band canary. At a time when most female vocals tended to emphasize the sweet timbres of their voice, she chose to emphasize a path blazed by the one major jazz singer who emphasized message over medium - Billie Holiday.
