1. Aupheus (real name Aaron Lampert) is a London based DJ working formerly for the hip-hop group DEFDIRES from 2000 until 2006 when he released his debut EP, Descent which further alludes to the artist's name, a homonym for the Greek mythological character Orpheus. As well as his debut album, Aupheus also gained some publicity after winning Buck 65's competition for the best remix of his song Shutter Buggin'.

2. Aupheus otherwise known as Mark Andrew Elvidge, born Christmas Eve in 1961, and grew up in the town of Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, in the UK.

Eldest son of an Engineer and Nurse, Mark has always had a great fondnest for all things technical, and a love of music. His grandmother was one of the famous original Tilla Girls, and later a silent movie's pianist.

His mother also played the piano, so it was also inevitable that Marks technical and music upbringing, led him to the love of keyboard synthesizers, the first of which he built himself, having been inspired the sounds of the BBC Radiophonics Workshop - who created sounds and music for programmes such as Doctor Who. Marks first instrument however, was the violin.

Mark was also influenced by many others, including Jean Michel Jarre and Isao Tomita, was originally in a largely unknown punk group called 'The Warp', before being invited to take over from saxophonist Stewart Matthewman (Grammy-winning songwriter/musician/producer, and a vital part of Sade) as keboard player in a Hull band called 'The Odds'. The Odds, had at that time received invaluable BBC1 airplay was proving to be a progressive band, performing many UK venues, with many well known bands and artists.

Marks first gig with The Odds, was at Cheltenham City Hall, supporting Q-Tips, which was then fronted by Paul Young.

As Marks writing influence helped reshape the sound of The Odds, it was decided that the band needed a new name and image, and thus the band became 'Moscow'. Moscow performed at many venues throughout the UK, with highlights such as performing at London's Hamersmith Odeon, for a BBC1 Saturday evenings prime-time broadcast.

Sadly, Moscow disbanded after a couple of members disagreed over potential song credits, following major record company interest - which was sparked by songs such as 'Gabriel', co-written by Mark.

Following on from some instrument and recording equipment acquisitions, and some professional vocal tuition - Mark started a solo recording venture as 'Aupheus', before recruiting a band to tour live with as 'The Underworld'.

Some of the last recording and keyboard work Mark did during the eighties, was a variety of miscellaneous writing/performing keyboard work - mainly in the capacity of the final touches to recordings, under request and supervision from a variety of producers mainly in and around London.

Currently, Mark is considering releasing more of his original 80's compositions, re-recorded using a combination of original 80's synths, and today's modern digital technology. Video projects are also in the planning stage. Much of this will be down to 'time permitting' - as Mark dedicates most of his time to the scientific exploration and investigation of the paranormal.
