Gävel is musically a solo project of Mathias Lundgren, also known as Matte Matik but functions as a part of an artistic concept known as "Gävel productions" or "Skörda helvetet" which incorporates at least three other members. Gävel was formed in 2006 in Skellefteå and focuses on various different subgenres of hard rock and metal such as classic 70's riff based rock as well as black metal.
