Generalities Lyrics

Never to be found
I want my baby
Taking up my space
.....? your goodbyeYou say you're happy
I feel something else
Pressed inside the palm of your hand
As I shake yours, you shake mineMuch is left unsaid
We dance a masquerade
Leave it up to chance
To say what is in our head
You've got your politics
I've got my shame
You've asked your questions
And I remain tremblingGeneralities
Baby you and I keepin score
Generalities
I can't find the forest or the doorAs the coffee stains
We talk barely breathing

Caught between the lines
No one to turn the page
You've got your politics
I've got my shame
You've asked your questions
And I remain trembling
