Giddy Up - The Whipps

In 2010, The Whipps released their debut CD Ghettobillies. Fans embraced the concept CD, a collection of eight alt-country, hick hop songs opening with a low-fi radio tuning in to The Whipps fantasy radio station. A radio station where rock mixes in with country and hip hop. You hear a blend of traditional instruments like banjo, dobro and mandolin with newer sounds. The Whipps like pushing their music into hybrid territory.
