On last.fm VARA refers to two entities, the broadcaster and a band:
1. NL - VARA is the Dutch broadcaster founded on 1st November 1925 in Hilversum in the Netherlands www.VARA.nl. The AVRO is a member of the NPO (Nederlandse Publieke Omroepbestel) group of Dutch broadcasters. 2. MD - VaRa a hard rock band, formed in November 2005 in Chişinău, Moldova. In 2008 they managed to release a demo CD named VaRa Rock N'Roll, and it may be found on the official site of the band http://vara.md
