Girl On a Train Lyrics

Wakin' on a train dreamin'
Charmed alone they started speakin'
Captured in his artist way
Before the memories fade away
To remember a face
Oh oh and you're home or want to
Certain they would meet soon
Paint a portrait of a family
To remember a face
Oh oh and you're home
Single light on
Single way
Single light
Away
To remember a face
Oh oh and you're home
The night fell
Saw a paintin' on a stairwell

To mourn the passing of a daughter dear
Her soul upon the train so far so near
To remember a face
Oh oh and you're home
Single light on
Single way
Single light
Away
Single light on
Single way
And oh oh and you're home
Just close your eyes
And you're home
Just give me time
And you're home
Oh oh and you're home
Oh oh and you're home
Home

In June 1978 Anthony Meynell was a songwriter/guitarist with a fistful of sharp '60s inspired pop songs but no band to perform them with. SQUIRE were already an establihed local group performing mainly covers and consisting of Enzo Esposito (bass/vocals), Steve Baker(guitar), and Ross Di'Landa (drums). Meynell talked Esposito into letting him join the band and thus squeezed into Squire line up on lead guitar just in time for their prestigious support at the Guildford Civic Hall to those other local boys, The JAM.
