Girls Can Really Tear You Up Inside Lyrics

There's a girl whose stuck inside a picture frame
She's seen your face, her mother's mentioned once your name
She sits and dreams, her fifteen year old dreams of what to do
She's heard you sing and that your eyes are very, very, very blueWhy do you run? Why do you hide?
From all you are, you're just a manShe could tear you up inside
Tear you up inside
She could tear you up inside
Tear you up insideShe has a home outside this little picture frame
You're not in it and she wants someone to blame
Do you remember what it's like to be that young
All the pages that are blank and all the songs yet to be sungWhy do you run? Why do you hide?
From all she is, she's just a girlGirls can tear you up inside
Tear you up inside
They can tear you up inside
Tear you up insideIf there are words, you want to say
She's waitin' for that rainy, that rainy dayWhy do you run? Why do you hide?
From all she is, she's just a girl
You're just a boy

Tomorrow's gonna comes anyway
And you can see it in the insideThey can tear you up inside
Tear you up inside
They can tear you up inside
Tear you up inside
They can tear you up inside
Tear you up inside

Born Erin Moran, in New Jersey, USA, she began her musical career singing backing vocals and playing keyboards for singer/songwriter Francis Dunnery and got the chance to tour Great Britain. In 1999, she teamed with DJ Sae One under the name Leomoon, and they released one self-titled electro-folk album. In 2001, she issued her debut EP, Tears All Over Town on Le Grand Magistery. A chance meeting with Richard Hawley (Pulp, Longpigs) led her to start recording what would become her proper first album. The album simply called A Girl Called Eddy subsequently appeared on Anti in August 2004.
